MANHATTAN DRUG ADDICTION INTERVENTION
Manhattan is the most densely populated borough out of the five New York City boroughs—an interesting fact considering it is also the smallest borough. Manhattan has the distinction of being considered the center of the city’s administrative and financial function as well as the most culturally significant in the eyes of the US. Roughly 1.6 million people live within the 23 square miles that contain Manhattan. The borough, New York County, and NYC itself are the epitome of what a city is and can be. Full of commerce, historical significance, and social and economic opportunities. They are also, unfortunately, some of the first hubs in which addiction can sprout, necessitating drug addiction intervention, addiction treatment programs, and recovery oriented support groups.
